Welcome!

I help people who want to continue to lead an active life after injury, surgery, or trauma, or chronic pain. Feldenkrais is for you if you want to improve how you:

  • sit and stand

  • turn, bend, and squat

  • reach and use your arms

  • walk and run

Feldenkrais movement practice is done in three ways: in private lessons with a practitioner, in a group class, or listening to audio lessons at home.

All Feldenkrais brings you:

  • high-quality functioning

  • improved health, healing, and well being

  • ah-ha moments of insight and inspiration

  • more energy and ease

  • better breathing and upright posture

Feldenkrais uses the brain's innate ability to learn and form new patterns. Everyone can uncover the joy of movement performed more efficiently and easily.

Start with four private lessons to find out how you can move more freely, carry less stress in your body, and stop doing the things that cause you pain.

The way Zoe builds the lessons by gently leading you through the movements and observations is extensive and engaging. I join the many who must benefit from the expertise and caring Zoe brings to her work and to her life.

I love the clarity of the lessons, Zoe’s voice, the messages she puts in between the instructions that help me grow. She teaches Feldenkrais as easily as breathing.

What is Feldenkrais?

The Feldenkrais Method is a form of somatic education that uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve movement and enhance human functioning. The method focuses on expanding your innate potential for learning.

By bringing curiosity and attention to the way you move, you can increase ease and range of motion, improve flexibility and coordination, and rediscover your natural ability to move with grace and power.

Practicing Feldenkrais is a key component of a healthy life because it makes changes where it counts: in your brain. Once your brain has an experiential understanding of easier, more functional movement, you waste less energy in compulsive, unnecessary contractions. This leads to better coordination and efficiency in everything you do.

My approach

feldenkraiszoe.jpg

For over 23 years, I have been immersed in human learning and sensorimotor development. I’ve developed a joyful, creative, non-judgmental teaching style focused on deep listening to you and your unique needs.

As a compassionate movement teacher who’s been through her own chronic pain, I know what it’s like when you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work.

I have a particular interest in working with people who have persistent or chronic pain issues, and with people who are struggling to feel comfortable in their body.

For many of my clients, the journey through pain and dysfunction has been a difficult one. So, the first step is to take the time to listen, not only to people's stories, but also to what they want in life, their goals and aspirations.

Inspired by easier movement, you can design a more satisfying life.
